Making Your Own Vitamin Drink

Filed under: Allergy Treatment — admin @ 7:59 pm

Drinking a daily vitamin packed drink of your choice that includes romaine lettuce, celery, stalks kale, apples, lemon, and fresh ginger (or make your own drink)

To eat healthy we need to eat daily one pound of raw vegetables for each 50 pounds of body weight. By juicing this amount, it is very easy to get 50% of your body weight’s requirement of raw vegetables. Raw food is important to our body because when it is consumed, it does not raise our white blood cells like cooked food does. It did not change when raw foods or low temperature cooked foods were consumed.

Health juices are not a new thing over history. Limejuice cured scurvy in the16th century, saving thousands of sailor’s lives. But our generation has only recently discovered the nutritional and biochemical properties of fruit and vegetable fresh juices. Juicing is the cheapest and most economical method to maintain the health of the individual in our time today. It was discovered that the best time to take a juice drink is in the morning and during the evening.

Freshly squeezed juices from vegetables and fruit contain more vitamins and minerals, along with enzymes, than any canned or fresh juice. When making your juice, always include a dark leafy vegetable such as spinach, broccoli, cabbage, or beet tops. It was discovered that the best time to take a juice drink is in the morning and during the evening. Within ten minutes after consuming the drink they are absorbed into the bloodstream. This is an advantage to drinking freshly juiced vegetables as compared to eating fresh vegetables and fruit. Eating solid foods take several hours to digest, while a fresh fruit or vegetable drink is absorbed quickly into the system. The fiber is lost due to the juicing process but a higher amount of nutrients goes into the body and its system.

Pet Allergy Remedies - How to Get Relief

Filed under: Allergy Treatment — admin @ 8:00 pm

By Lauren Hobbes

Pet allergies can be very disappointing if you are an animal lover. Pet allergy remedies become important if you’d like to maintain life with your furry friends!

Unfortunately, pet dander often triggers an allergic reaction in many people. Pet dander can cause itchy eyes and stuffy nasal passages, as well as a scratchy throat and other allergic symptoms. Animal fur and saliva can also cause sensitivities.

Do pet allergies mean you are doomed to life with no pets? Not necessarily. There are certain breeds that are better than others, and there are some things you can do to lessen allergic symptoms.

Symptoms Of Pet Allergies

Pet allergies usually present with similar symptoms to the common cold or hay fever. You’ll probably have post nasal drip and itchy eyes, along with a scratchy throat and stuffed up nose. Some people have skin reactions, like hives. And, in serious cases, you might even have pet-related asthma.

Prevention And Treatment

While it isn’t always desirable, typically the best way to control and manage pet allergies is to avoid exposure to animals that can trigger the allergic reaction. In other words, try to limit or avoid your exposure to the animal that triggers your allergy.

For people who are seriously allergic to animals, it’s probably a good idea to keep your home free from pets, or find a breed that works for you. A Labradoodle is one breed of dog with a non-shedding coat that has been said to be ok for some people with pet allergies. Obviously, each person has a different level of sensitivity, so you will need to find out what works for you.

Medication for pet allergies will vary, but is typical to what is commonly prescribed or available over the counter for most types of allergies. Antihistamines, decongestants, eye drops, and nasal sprays are common allergy remedies.

Tips for Pet Allergies

If you insist on keeping your pet, there are some tips you can follow to reduce your allergic reaction. Bathe your pet weekly, and keep it off your furniture and bed. Try to maintain one or more rooms where the pet is off-limits, such as your bedroom. Use HEPA air filters and vacuums to try to reduce airborne dander and irritants. Keep the pet in rooms without carpeting, such as hardwood floors or laminates–these surfaces are easier to keep clean and won’t hold onto dander like carpeting.

You might also try a natural remedy for pet allergies. Many people absolutely swear by the BioAllers Animal Hair and Dander Allergy Relief Product. You can purchase this at the drugstore or on-line. The consumer reviews are favorable, it isn’t that expensive, and has no side effects, so it might be worth a try.

Worst case, if these steps don’t work and you don’t want to take allergy medicine, you may need to help find a new home for your pet, but hopefully not!
